We recently had a chance to visit the Lake Quinault area again, and came across this tree that is actually three trees - mountain ash, alder, and fir all growing together. There's also a hemlock tree right next to it sharing its canopy. The Quinault Valley is truly an amazing area for trees - it has six champion conifer trees!
