Before removing a tree, many municipalities and counties in Washington now require a permit, even if the tree is on your own private property.

Some cities even require a permit for pruning. Part of this permit usually involves a report or form completed by a certified arborist verifying what work should be performed. The point of this permit process is to keep as many healthy trees as possible because they are so beneficial to us all.

If you are considering removing or pruning trees on your property, we can assist with determining if a permit is needed, and if an assessment by a certified arborist is required as part of that permit. We offer on-site assessments to determine the health of a tree, and if tree removal is not a possibility we can often create an alternative plan such as trimming or pruning to meet the needs of the property owner and the municipality or county.
